The Victoria and Albert Museum
The Victoria and Albert Museum opened on 2 May 1872. It was the first museum built in Bombay and houses a number of archaeological finds, maps and historical photographs of the city. It also houses clay models, silver and copper ware, costumes from ancient India and the iconic Kala Ghoda statue. In 1975, the museum was renamed to Dr. Bhau Daji Lad museum.

The Prince of Wales Museum of Western India
The Prince of Wales Museum of Western India was designed by Scottish architect George Wittet and was completed in 1915. The building was initially used as a children’s welfare centre and Military Hospital during World War I before being handed over to the museum committee in 1920. The museum opened on 10 January 1922. It houses over 50000 artifacts from ancient India as well as objects from foreign lands. In 1998, the museum was renamed to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya.

Mani Bhavan
Mani Bhavan was completed in the early 20th century as a private residence. Revashankar Jagjeevan Jhaveri owned the building and played host to Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi from 1917 to 1934. It was from here that Gandhi initiated the Non-Cooperation, Satyagraha, Swadeshi, Khadi and Khilafat movements. In 1955, the building was taken over by the Gandhi Smarak Nidhi to maintain it as a memorial to The Mahatma.

Reserve Bank of India Monetary Museum
The R.B.I. Monetary Museum was inaugurated in 2004 by the former President of India, Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam. It houses over 1500 objects including coins, paper money and financial instruments from the Indus Valley Civilization, the Gupta Dynasty, the Kushan Empire, China, Southeast Asia and India.
